L.L. Barkat — About

L.L. Barkat is a popular speaker for a New York Bible teaching ministry. Barkat's first book, Stone Crossings: Finding Grace in Hard and Hidden Places, is due out in Spring 2008 through InterVarsity Press, and was featured in Publishers Weekly in an article on how memoirists deal with family responses.

Other current projects include Social Issues Reading Clubs (SIRCs) and The Eden Club. SIRCs were developed to offer a learning and dialog setting for people who want to stay informed about social and global issues as well as find ways to benefit their local and world community. The Eden Club is an environmental stewardship kid's club designed to nurture an appreciation of creation and develop a sense of how to preserve and protect it.
